|match-3
Greece Vs Korea
Group B’s Korea Republic and Greece will go head to head on Saturday’s match 3 at the Nelson Mandela Bay/Port Elizabeth. This will be the first time these two countries meet at a FIFA World Cup.Korea Republic reached the semifinals as co-host of the 2002 World Cup, coming in fourth for the nation’s best finish. The team appeared to be making another surge four years later but lost its final group game to Switzerland and was eliminated on a tiebreaker.
Greece is making its second World Cup appearance and first since being outscored 10-0 while losing all three games in 1994, including defeats to Argentina and Nigeria. The players to watch out for are Ji-Sung Park and Georgios Karagounis. Park is the undisputed star of the Korea Republic team. Thanks to his exploits with Premier League’s Manchester United, he is an idol in his homeland and in 2008 became the first ever Asian player to win the UEFA Champions League. Karagounis, on the other hand, is hailed as the heartbeat of the Greece side and will be doing his best to break down the Koreans’ attacking endeavours with another typically industrious display.
My pick
korea 1-1 Greece

Match 4: Argentina-Nigeria
After 16 long years, Diego Maradona makes his much-awaited return to the 2010 World Cup when two group favorites, Argentina and Nigeria, clash in Johannesburg (Ellis Park) at 16:00 (local time). This will be Maradona’s debut as a coach in the tournament, hoping to lead La Albiceleste to victory over a
Nigeria side hoping for third-time lucky and boosted by ‘home’ advantage. Maradona faces Nigeria in his first match as a coach in the FIFA World Cup, almost 16 years to the day since his last match as an Argentina player against the very same team. The Africans, meanwhile, will be looking to avenge their past defeats. Argentina beat Nigeria in the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan and in the 1994 FIFA World Cup USA. They will look to exploit their ‘home’ advantage, and also build on their recent 3-1 friendly victory over Korea DPR. Coach Lars Lagerback, though lacking John Obi Mikel due to injury, is still hopeful to win the match. The players to watch out for are Argentina’s Gonzalo Higuain and Vincent Enyeama of Nigeria. Higuain scored 27 goals for Real Madrid in La Liga last season. On the other side, Enyeama is one of the few Nigerians to have kept his place in the Super Eagles’ rearguard despite constant changes in their defensive formation. Enyeama, nicknamed as ‘The Cat’, already boasts of World Cup experience.
My pick

Match 5: England-USA,
The opening game in Group C brings together two world super-powers as the United States takes on England in the World Cup Day 2 match 5 to take place in Rustenburg (Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace) at 20:30 (local time).
In this much-anticipated showdown, a win against England would leave Bob Bradley’s U.S. squad on the verge of qualifying for the second round, while losing in this match would ensure a tough battle for survival in the last two games of the group phase.Meanwhile, England’s new coach Fabio Capello will have to compensate for the absence of injured player Rio Ferdinand, and Gareth Barry, who is not yet back to full fitness. Capello must now ensure that defender Ledley King remains healthy. The players to watch out for are Jozy Altidore (USA) vs. John Terry (England). Altidore succeeded in becoming the youngest ever hat-trick hero in US history. He will prove a powerful opponent for Terry, England’s former skipper. With his regular England partner, Rio Ferdinand’s absence, it will be down to Terry to keep the US heavy-hitters at bay.
My pick

Re: 12 june- matches(2,3,4) predictions and discussions
You gotta be fucking kidding me
The USA actually managed to tie with england due to a lucky as* 'goal' if you could even call it that. I was thinking it was going to be 2 or 4-0.... Damit
It's a good thing for my wallet though LOL, I was thinking about betting some people that england wouldn't lose for shit (going as high as $200) So a tie isn't bad for my cash flow.
